Not bad for a first try

So tried my first "real" retouching on GIMP today. I used a picture of my SL BFF Lina, and here is the end result. I must say. Its not too shabby for the first try.

Self Help?

I am learning some new things. I am taking some GIMP tutorials and improving on my photo skills. Just want to show that if you are someone who likes to take pictures in SL but can't afford Photoshop there is always the GIMP application with tons of scripts and plug ins for downloads. Anyway, I've notice that there are some links I should post regarding Stylin' U so feel free to check them out and I'm going to post a couple of pics as well.

Getting into the Biz

Okay so I have been very busy with SL and Rl combined and have been shorting my blog posts. No worries, I'm not going away for months on end, I am just taking a couple of days to fix some issues. However, I wanted to share a couple of little things. I am now getting into the breedables business. I have a couple of them for sale at the Stylin U lot, only a couple, the other 14 are mine. I also have a Non-Breedable kitty for sale as well. I'm going to post some random pics so that you can see what they look like.

I am attempting to get into the make up business. I don't know about you, but I want some good full face makeup that is only one tatoo layer and not several. So I'm going to attempt it. Awesome huh? Well here are some pics of some of the kitties. If you're interested on knowing which ones are for sale (or trade) Please send me an IM.

Time for a Tweak

Every few months I like to tweak my shape just a little. I've had the same shape since I started in SL over 2 years ago and every once in a while, I like to give myself a bit of a cosmetic Makeover.  If you look at the picture on the left, the picture on the right is my new look, and unless you look closely, you won't notice that my changes are subtle. for instance, I ever so slightly changed the shape of my eyes and the width of my lips by about 4 points on the slider. Also what you can't see is I increased my hip length by 3points and Reduced my Girls by 5.  I suggest, if you get tired of your shape as I do, what's the point in buying a new one when you can just subtly change what you have. BTW, I love myself as tall as I can get. Yes, I am an amazonian, but...if you notice the eyes, my look is a bit softer and a bit more sexy. So, Change yourself now and then, It will make you feel better.

The Fashion Garret

So, I visited the Fashion Garrett again. Its kind of similar to TDR but with less stuff, however, they still offer some great designer items at prices 70L and under. Everything i'm wearing, Dress, Skin and Hair all all from the Fashion Garret.

Ah yes, my work on her is done

Meet my friend Nicola. She was away from SL for about a year and found one of my Advertisements. She sent me an IM Telling me that she desperately needed my help! I was more than willing to do so of course. Look at her before picture on the left and her after picture on the right. A completely different AVI you ask? No! Same girl. And I'm going to tell you how I took her from Drab to FAB!

First we started with her shape. Her shape was full perm and I asked her to give me a copy for a bit of tweaking. The only thing that I did, was adjust the facial features. The body, I kept exactly the same. First of all, I changed the head shape ever so slightly. Then took the Stats of my own Shape and modified her face. I took the lips from the original picture, in which the lower lip was almost twice the size of the upper. Trust me, pictures can be deceiving. And I adjusted the shape of that as well as the nose. I also made the eyes a bit more narrow and took the Cheek Bones Down from 100. So, after that modification, I gave her her shape back! Thank God.

Next I went though my inventory and found a few Full perm Skins and chucked them her way. Same with hair. Found a couple that are full perm and I gave them to her. The final step...Sending her off to Fab Free headquarters to get some stuff, including the Blue outfit she is wearing in the right picture. Told her to chuck the Outfit, skin and hair from the Left side because well, unless she wanted to go around looking like a noob, they needed to go.

And of course, You see the Before result and the After Result.

52 weeks of color #19 Umber

Thankfully, I had only 1 outfit in umber. In an inventory of nearly 20,000 you would think that I would have more, but since Umber isn't one of my favorite colors, it isn't that surprising. So, I'm going to wear that one outfit I have and use it. Oh and btw, I did attempt to go shopping, found absolutely nothing in Umber. And being a somewhat color blind female, it is difficult to sometimes match stuff. So here we go, week 19 UMBER.

Not really sure what to put here...

With the devastation in Japan, I decided to pay a bit of a tribute with my Japanese style Pic. You can't really see it but my kimono comes from Bare Rose which is clearly a Japanese store with some amazing items that only Japanese designers can provide. I must now say that my thoughts and prayers go out to these people and My God Bless them all.

moolto hunt. So much fun.

I love hunts, and you know what? I don't think I've ever had more fun on a hunt than I did this one. I got a lot of stuff, and as always I deleted the stuff that I didn't like and kept the stuff I did. The Moolto Sisters hunt really is amazing and I suggest you check it out. What you need is the moolto magic glasses to pick up the gifts and you must join the group on the website. Also everyone is so helpful and i made some brand new friends in the process. The hunt items cost 0L. So, if you're like me and half of what you pick up isn't something that you would use or wear, you can just delete them without fear. 

So now here are some pics from some of the items I picked up. I'm not going to bother cropping and fixing to make them all nice and pretty. I'm just gonna show you the items. And I'm also going to post the link to the Moolto website for you. I really suggest you give this hunt a try, even if you are not a hunter. Most of the gifts are easy to find. Some however are not. Oh, and, new hunt places are being added all the time, so when you think you're done...you just might not be.
